How Does the Wood-Saver Work?

The Woodchip or Pellet Saver is a special sticker that is applied directly to the conveyor shaft or storage box. It acts as an information carrier and changes the molecular structure of the wood.

Wood consists of long-chain hydrocarbons. The Saver helps to break down the C-C bonds, allowing the carbon atoms to form additional bonds with the oxygen in the ambient air. This increases the gas content during combustion and massively boosts efficiency.

Practical Tests & Results

Endurance Test: Changes in Bulk Material After One Week

In Knut Erdtmann's heating system, a direct comparison was made between treated and untreated wood (sawn disposable pallets). The difference was significant:

The treated wood burned significantly longer.
High proportion of blue flames (hotter combustion).
1/3 less ash volume.
Significantly reduced smoke and odor.
Residues (nails) are metallically clean – a sign of maximum heat.

When the untreated wood was already only embers, the treated wood on the other side of the combustion chamber was still burning with half its flame.

Measurable Data: 8% Longer, 4% More Heat

Documented Test on a Künzel Wood Gasifier (30 KW) with a 1700-liter water storage tank. Usage of 36 kg of wood (hardwood/softwood mix):

+ 8.2 % Longer Burn Time

+ 4 % Heat Gain

- 18 % Less Ash

Without Saver: Burn time approx. 4h 50m | 226g Ash

With Saver: Burn time approx. 5h 14m | 185g Ash

The temperature increase in the storage tank was 2 degrees higher with the Saver, using the exact same amount of wood.
